Draw with a skin marking pen the line of the knee joint on a model in the anatomical position with side lighting and a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 112 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to sit down.

2. Identify the Head of Fibula (Objective No 96)

3. The line of the Knee Joint lies Icm superior to the Head of Fibula .

4. Identify the bony edge of the Tibial Plateau of the Lateral Tibial Condyle forming the inferior boundary of the Anterolateral compartment of the Knee joint. (Objective 94)

5. Palpate the line of the Knee Joint towards the anterior mid-line over the Ligamentum Patellae to the Anteromedial compartment lying between the Medial Condyle of Femur and the Medial Condyle of Tibia.

6. Identify the bony edge of the Tibial Plateau of the Medial Condyle of Tibia.

7. Project an imagined line round the medial, posterior and lateral aspects of the Knee crossing Ligaments, Muscles and Tendons.
