Draw with a skin marking pencil the projected outline of the Lateral Malleolus on a model in the Anatomical position with side lighting and a time limit of thirty seconds.

 Objective No 103 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. The sharp, pointed bony subcutaneous projection formed by the Lateral Malleolus can be observed on the lateral aspect of the ankle.

2. Identify the Medial Malleolus (Objective 101).

3. Note how the Lateral Malleolus of the Fibua lies more posterior than the Medial Malleolus of Tibia.

4. Note how the tip of theLateral Malleolus of Fibula descends to a level ,at least 1 .5cms below that of the inferior border of the Medial Malleolus of Tibia.
