Draw with a surface marking pen a line to indicate the anterior surface marking of the Elbow Joint on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of two minutes. Objective No 28 - Criteria to be demonstrated. 1. Identify and mark the Medial epicondyle of the Humerus 2. Identify the mark the Lateral epicondyle of the Humerus 3. Draw a horizontal line on the anterior surface of the Elbow between steps 1 and 2. 4. Draw a horizontal line 2cms inferior and parallel to the line in step 3. 5. This horizontal line indicates the approximate surface marking of the Elbow Joint 6. Request the model to extend the Elbow Joint and palpate the Head of Radius (Objective No 11) 7. Immediately superior to the Head of Radius, a depression can be palpated. 8. The horizontal line in step 5 should cut through this depression between the Head of Radius and the Capitulum of the Humerus which forms the lateral component of the Elbow Joint.
