Mark with a surface marking pen on the dorsum of the hand  lines to indicate the Interphalangeal joints of the Index Finger on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of thirty seconds.

 Objective No 27 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to make a clenched fist with the right hand.

2. From the clenched fist position, request the model to fully extend and flex the index finger.

3. Observe where the movement occurs between the proximal, middle and distal phalanges of the index finger .

4. Mark with a line on the dorsal surface of the index finger where this movement can be detected.

5. The lines on the dorsal surface of the index finger represent the position of the Interphalangeal joints.
