Draw a line with a surface marking pen on a model in the anatomical position, the position of the course of the Axillary Artery in the upper limb within a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 77 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to abduct the arm through 90 degrees and laterally rotate the Shoulder Joint.

2. Identify the lateral border of the body of the First Rib in the Supraclavicular Fossa. (Objective No 164).

3. Draw a line from the mid-point of the Shaft of Clavicle and the Lateral Border of the First Rib which lies immediately posterior.

4. Complete the line from step 3 to a point representing the junction of the anterior and middle thirds of the lateral wall of the Axillary Space.

5. This line passes medial to the Tip of the Coracoid Process of Scapula.

6. Count the pulse of the Axillary artery immediately medial to the tip of the Coracoid Process.
