Draw with a surface marking pen the course of the Cephalic vein on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 74 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Note the Dorsal venous network on the Dorsum of the Hand.

2. Mark the Cephalic vein  where it drains the the dorsal surface of the Hand on Lateral aspect at the base of the Thumb and winds round the wrist to gain the anterior surface of the forearm.

3. The Cephalic vein ascends on the radial side of the forearm to gain the Cubital Fossa.

4. The Cephalic vein lies  in the  sulcus on the lateral aspect of Biceps-Brachi and ascends the arm.

5. The Cephalic vein passes between the Deltoid muscle and the Pectoralis major (Objectives  Nos 34 and 35 )to pierce fascia immediately inferior  to the shaft of the Clavicle.

6. Request the model to flex and adduct the Shoulder joint   against resistance to demonstrate the action of the Anterior Fibres of Deltoid and Pectoralis Major.

7. The Cephalic vein passes through this triangle to pierce fascia    and joins the Axillary Vein

8. Mark this triangular space named the Delto-pectoral triangle.
