Demonstrate the action of Extensor indicis on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of thirty seconds.

Objective No 61 - Criteria to be demonstrated

1. Request the model  make a  loose fist ,then extend the Radio-carpal joint, and  independently the Interphalangeal joints of the Index finger as in pointing the  tip of the extended finger at an object.

2. The Extensor indicis extends the proximal phalanx of the Index finger and is an accessory extensor of the Radio-carpal joint.

3. The tendon of Extensor indicis joins with the  individual tendon from the Extensor Digitorum to the Index finger and reinforces the action of extending the proximal phalanx of the Index finger.
