Demonstrate and identify by palpation the tendon of Palmaris Longus on the anterior surface of the Forearm given a model in the anatomical position and a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 48 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to flex the Elbow joint to a right angle and supinate the Hand.

2. Request the model to flex the Radio-carpal joint and strongly oppose the tip of the Thumb to the  Tip of the  Fifth finger .

3. The long distinct  and  subcutaneous tendon of Palmaris Longus crosses the anterior surface marking of the Radio-carpal joint in the Mid-line

4. The tendon of Palmaris longus lies medial to the tendon of Flexor-carpi-radialis.

5. According to the reference the tendon of Palmaris Longus is absent in 15% of the population.
