Identify and mark with a pen the antero-posterior joint line of the Acromio-clavicular joint on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 22 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Identify and mark the contour of the Acromion process of Scapula  (Objective No 4).

2. Place the index finger   angled at forty five degrees on the Acromion process of Scapula , the tip of the index finger directed towards the Lateral extremity of the Clavicle. (Objective No  2)

3. Palpate in a medial direction until the prominent  Lateral extremity of the Clavicle is encountered.

4. The Acromio-clavicular joint line lying in an antero-posterior direction is positioned under the tip of the index finger.

5. Distraction of the  Gleno-humeral joint (Objective No 23) by manual traction  along the long axis of the shaft of Humerus produces passive movement at the Acromio-clavicular joint which can be detected in a young adult.
