Mark with a surface marking pen the projected course of the Common Peroneal nerve from the Apex of the Popliteal fossa to the Neck of Fibula on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 158 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request model to flex the Knee Joint to a right angle.

2. Mark the boundaries of the Popliteal fossa

3. Identify the tendon of Biceps Femoris (Objective No 131)

4. Mark the Apex of the Popliteal fossa and draw a line along the medial edge of the tendon of Biceps Femoris to the inferior   surface and posterior border of the Head of Fibula.

5. Continue the line inferior to the Head of Fibula and round the lateral aspect of the Neck of Fibula to the proximal part of the belly of Peroneus Longus. (Objective 141)

6. This line  represents the course of the Common Peroneal nerve .
