Objective No 88 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to slowly flex the Hip joints and assume a sitting position on their palms with the finger tips facing towards the Median plane.

2. As the thighs of the model reach the horizontal position, the palmar surfaces of the finger tips are able to palpate a prominent bony mass which becomes subcutaneous as the lower fibres of Gluteus Maximus pass in a lateral direction

3. The prominent bony feature exposed to palpation is the Ischial Tuberosity.

4. On extending the Hip Joints and rising back to regain the Anatomical Position, the Ischial Tuberosity is covered by the Lower fibres of Gluteus Maximus.
