Demonstrate and palpate Adductor Pollicis on a model in the Anatomical position with a time limit of one minute.

Objective No 66 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Request the model to place the Hand on a table with the Palmar surface facing upwards.

2. Request the model to the model  to Abduct the Thumb at  a right angle to  the plane of the Palm and hold the position.

3. Request the model to Adduct the Thumb  at a right angle to the plane of the palm against maximal resistance resistance in a direction towards the Index finger.

4. The muscle belly can be palpated on the antero-medial surface of the Metacarpophalangeal joint of the Thumb as it passes towards its distal attachment on the medial aspect of the base of the proximal phalanx of the Thumb.
