Identify by palpation and surface mark with a pen the Dorsal Tubercle of the Radius on a model in the anatomical position with side lighting and a time limit of 15 seconds. Objective No 14 - Criteria to be demonstrated. 1. Request the model to flex the Elbow Joint to a right angle and pronate the forearm to expose the dorsum of the hand. 2. Request the model to fully extend the Thumb and identify the tendon of Extensor Pollicis Longus tracing its course where if forms a boundary of the Anatomical Snuff Box to the posterior surface of the Radius. 3. Maintain extension of the Thumb and draw a line from the cleft between the index and middle fingers to the posterior surface of the radius to a point where the line forms a junction with the tendon of Extensor Pollicis Longus. 4. Place a finger tip on this junction and a prominent tubercle can be distinguished. 5. The tendon of the Extensor Pollicis Longus passess round the medial aspect of this tubercle which is the Dorsal Tubercle of the Radius.
