Identify by palpation and surface mark with a pen the Olecranon Process of the Ulna on a model in the anatomical position with side lighting and a time limit of 15 seconds.

Objective No 9 - Criteria to be demonstrated.

1. Observe the posterior view of the upper limb and request the model to extend the Elbow joint.

2. Surface mark with a pen on the posterior surface of the extended Elbow joint the Lateral and Medial Epicondyles of the Humerus and join the two points with a horizontal line.

3. Palpate to the medial side of the midpoint of the horizontal line and a prominent bony process can be palpated under the skin.

4. This prominent bony process is the Olecranon Process of the Ulna.

5. Observe the posterior view of the upper limb and request the model to flex the Elbow joint.

6. Surface mark the position of the Medial and Lateral Epicondyles as in step 2.

7. The Apex of Olecranon Process of Ulna descends when the Elbow joint is flexed and forms an Isosceles triangle with the Medial and Lateral Epicondyles of Humerus.
